97.1 The Ticket -- When an athlete struggles to find the words to say during an immediate post-game interview, that doesn't mean they're stupid -- they're just tired, so says Blake Griffin.

The Pistons' star forward will appear on Wednesday night's episode of 'The Tonight Show' with Jimmy Fallon, and he wanted to prove a little point. In a video posted to the show's Twitter page, Griffin puts Fallon to the test.

"People always think that athletes are, like, really stupid, and it's not that we're stupid, it's that we just exercised for two hours," Griffin says in the video. "There's not really enough oxygen in our brains to actually be able to (answer the question)."

Griffin then gets up and prompts the host to run in place -- while he commentates on his exercise -- and then he asks him quick questions.

"See how stupid that sounds?" Griffin asks.

The full segment will air during Wednesday night's show, which starts at 11:35 p.m. ET.

Griffin has dabbled in stand-up comedy over the last few years and off the court has been known to be a pretty funny guy, so his spot with Fallon should be pretty entertaining.
