Britney Spears can do a lot of things. She can sing, dance and apparently run really fast.
Spears took to Instagram Wednesday with a since-deleted post that she is faster than the fastest human alive, Usain Bolt.
She said, "Ran my first 5!!!! Getting over your fear of pushing it in the beginning is key …. once I did that I hit 5!!!!! Usually I run 6 or 7 …. my first try was 9 …. and now I did it whoop !!!!! 100 meter dash."
is... Britney Spears claiming to have run a sub-6-second 100 metres?!? pic.twitter.com/K4Sq55nvHI
— Liam (@LiamLambrini) March 25, 2020The world record for the 100-meter is Bolt's time of 9.58 seconds. The fastest women's time is 10.49, which was set by Florence Griffith-Joyner.
So, Spears thinks she cut those times in half?
Spears later clarified on Instagram that she was only kidding: "obviously I was joking about running the 100 meter dash in 5.97 seconds …. the world record is held by Usain Bolt which is 9.58 seconds …. but you better believe I'm coming for the world record -- !!!! #joking #workbitch."

You have to give Spears credit, though. She managed to get people's mind off the coronavirus, even if only for a moment.
