SANTA CLARA, Calif. (97.1 The Ticket) -- Clemson freshman wide receiver Justyn Ross stole the show Monday night at the College Football Playoff Championship Game as the Tigers won their second title in three seasons.

The freshman from Alabama showed up in a big way in a big game against the team many thought he would stay home to play for.

Ross hauled in a 74-yard touchdown catch early in the third quarter that extended the Tigers' lead over the Crimson Tide 37-16.

But it was late in the third quarter that Ross really began to make some eye-popping plays -- two impressive one-handed catches on the same drive, including one as he managed to stay inbounds.

Ross's spectacular grab came on the heels of another brilliant catch just moments before, as he juggled the ball with one hand and brought it in for a 37-yard gain.

Clemson went on to add another touchdown on that drive, taking a 28-point lead, which was the biggest deficit a Nick Saban-coached Alabama team has ever faced.
