I guess I'm a Dallas Stars fan now.

After the death of SpongeBob Squarepants creator Stephen Hillenburg late in 2018 a wave of supporters flooded a Chage.org petition to get the song "Sweet Victory" played at the Super Bowl. The NFL and Maroon 5 hinted that they would feature the cartoon bit in the halftime show, but many fans were disappointed at the very short clip that was included.

The Dallas Stars came to the rescue.

At the February 1 home game against the Minnesota Wild the entire segment including the over-the-top song was played on the big screen over the ice. As a nice touch, the video team changed the color of the jerseys to green to match the Stars colors.
