HAMTRAMCK (97.1 The Ticket) -- Detroit City FC is in search of its second National Premier Soccer League Midwest Regional title in three seasons.

Le Rouge will play for the crown Sunday at 1 p.m. against Cleveland SC, the No. 1 seed in the Midwest, at Keyworth Stadium in Hamtramck. The winner will advance to the NPSL national semifinals, a feat DCFC accomplished in 2017, before losing on penalty kicks at home to Midland-Odessa FC.

Detroit City beat Minneapolis City SC 2-0 Friday night at Keyworth, while Cleveland beat Rochester Lancers 6-4 after extra time in the first semifinal.

DCFC won the Great Lakes Conference and secured the No. 2 seed in the Midwest behind Cleveland, who earned the top spot per the NPSL's points-per-game system. Should Detroit City advance to the national semifinals, they'll likely have to hit the road in the next round.
