JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (97.1 The Ticket) -- Wofford's Fletcher Magee re-wrote the NCAA Men's Basketball history books Thursday night in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, as he broke the all-time record for most 3-pointers.
Magee tied Oakland University's Travis Bader's record of 504 career triples in the first half against Seton Hall and promptly sunk his 505th less than a minute into the second half.

March 22, 2019 Magee earned a good amount of attention throughout the course of the season, as he sharpshot his way to a second straight Southern Conference Player of the Year award and helped his Terriers march through the SoCon a perfect 18-0 en route to a No. 7 seed in the tournament.
Magee is just the second player to hit 500 career 3's. He passed former Duke star J.J. Reddick for second place in a game against Western Carolina back on Feb. 9, when he drilled eight 3's. He had six games this season with at least seven 3's.
His career-high is 11 triples in a single game.
It also looks like Magee might go down with one of the best 3-point percentages as well. He's shot at a near 44 percent clip throughout his career, which puts him in the top 40 of all-time. The career record-holder is Northern Arizona's Stephen Sir, but he attempted fewer than 700 shots, whereas Magee has shot more than 1,000 in his career.
Magee went on to hit four more 3-pointers Thursday in the
84-68 win over the Pirates. Magee is sitting on 509 career 3's as his Terriers put their 21-game winning streak on the line Saturday against No. 2 seed Kentucky.
