Golden Tate Dangles Daughter By One Leg, Criticized On Social Media [PHOTO]

Michael Jackson faced a firestorm when he dangled young son Blanket out a hotel window, and more recently Tom Brady was roundly criticized for a video where he pushed his daughter to jump off a cliff and into a river.

Is it Golden Tate's turn?

Former Detroit Lions player Tate posted a photo on Instagram of himself, his wife and their baby daughter with a funny caption. In the pic, he and his bride are posing while the baby dangles in his hand by one leg.

It clearly showed a happy family, but some felt the baby's safety was at risk.

"Damn you like that child abuse," one user wrote on Instagram. Another wrote, "This is how Tyreek Hill got in trouble." That references a child abuse investigation into the NFL's Hill.

"To make everyone shut up!...Great full you caught your falling child which prevented a catastrophic injury...your a hero!!! The picture doesn't lie!" another user wrote, apparently in defense of the pose.

The baby looks like she could be crying, but Tate's wife clarified her expression as glee.

Tate's wife responded, "She was screeching with laughter - for the record --------"

Golden Tate spent more than four seasons as a wide receiver for the Detroit Lions, hauling in more than 400 passes for nearly 5,000 yards.

"His No. 15 jersey was one of the most popular sellers in the team store, and folks still wear them with pride," Lionswire reports.

Tate moved on and signed a four-year, $37.5 million contract with the Giants in March. He made headlines when he was suspended four games by the NFL earlier this season for 'performance enhancing drugs.' He claimed the substance was a fertility treatment prescribed by his doctor as he and his wife attempt to have a second baby.

Hopefully, he'll hold both of them with a firm grip.
