There are some pretty ugly matchups this week in the NFL.
Dolphins at Browns. (Combined record: 6-14.)
Giants at Bears. (6-14)
Buccs at Falcons. (6-14)
Steelers at Bengals. (5-15)
But none is less appealing, according to the general public, than your last-place Lions at the last-place Redskins. Combined record? 4-15-1.
Get-in price? $6.58 on Stubhub, as of Thursday morning.
The next-cheapest ticket this week is Broncos at Bills, for $21. The average get-in price, across the NFL, is about $70. It's a tidy $278 to enter the building for Cowboys at Patriots. For that kind of money, you could sit literally anywhere you desired Sunday afternoon at FedEx Field.
And still have plenty of money for beer, which you would most certainly need.
The scant price, of course, is the product of a disgruntled and mostly disinterested fanbase in Washington DC, and a visiting team without any mainstream appeal.
Around here, interest is still pretty high in the Lions. It would cost about $100 on Stubhub to get in Ford Field for the Thanksgiving game against the Bears, about $40 for Week 15 against the Buccs and about $60 for the season finale against the Packers.
