There are some sacred numbers that should and will never be worn again in the city of Detroit.

Last season the Detroit Tigers retired Alan Trammell's 3 and Jack Morris' 47. One number many Detroit Tigers' fans think should be retired next is Lou Whitaker's number 1.

Since 2013, Jose Iglesias had worn number 1 and now the newest Detroit Tiger, Josh Harrison, will reportedly wear number 1 this season.

New Detroit 2B Josh Harrison plans to wear No. 1 with @Tigers as a tribute to Lou Whitaker, as Harold Reynolds said this morning on @MLBNetwork #HotStove. Classy gesture by @jhay_da_man, who truly appreciates baseball history and is one of the great people in @MLB.

I think it's actually really cool to see that Harrison would wear 1 to honor Whitaker. Or should it be retired?

Iglesias was the first Tiger to wear 1 after Whitaker retired in 1995.

Do you have a problem with Josh Harrison wearing 1 this season?
