Kelly Stafford Sounds Off On NFL For Matthew's False-Positive

The Lions announced Tuesday afternoon that Matthew Stafford never contracted COVID-19. His test last Friday that sent him to the Reserve/COVID-19 list turned out to be a false-positive

Shortly after the announcement, Stafford's wife Kelly took to Instagram to tell the family's 'nightmare' story over the past four days.

"I have been losing my mind because of how my Family has been treated since my husband was put on COVID-IR," she said. Among other things, Kelly said her "kids were harassed and kicked off a playground," even after Stafford's test was deemed to be a false-positive.

She came down on the NFL "not holding themselves accountable."

"Maybe we should be absolutely positive a person has covid before releasing that info into the world," Kelly said. "I'm sharing our experience because I don't want it happening to any other family that plays for this league."

She added that Matthew and their children "are all absolutely fine and feeling great."
