The Lions created a hole at right guard last week when they cut T.J. Lang in a cap-saving move. On Tuesday night they may have found the man to fill it.
Detroit has agreed to terms with veteran offensive lineman Oday Aboushi on a one-year, $2 million deal, per Mike Garafolo.

Well-traveled OL Oday Aboushi will be making another stop. He's headed to the #Lions on a one-year deal worth up to $2m, source says. His fifth team in seven seasons.

Aboushi, 27, played eight games at right guard for the Cardinals last season.

The year before that he started eight games at right guard for the Seahawks in Darrell Bevell's offense. So he figures to join a system in Detroit with which he is familiar.

In-house candidates to replace Lang include Kenny Wiggins, who spelled Lang in 10 games last season, Joe Dahl and Tyrell Crosby. It won't be a small task. Though often hurt during his time at Detroit, Lang played at a high level when healthy.

There's also a chance the Lions could draft Lang's replacement, with a first-round pick not out of the question.

The rest of Detroit's O-line appears in place heading into 2019, with Taylor Decker at left tackle, Frank Ragnow at left guard, Graham Glasgow at center and Rick Wagner at right tackle.

Aboushi is the fourth player the Lions have agreed to terms with ahead of the official start of free agency at 4 p.m. Wednesday, joining defensive end Trey Flowers, cornerback Justin Coleman and tight end Jesse James.
