Bryant, listed at 6-foot-6, 280 lbs., is the third defensive player taken by the Lions. He was third-team All-ACC last season, when he recorded 8.5 sacks and 45 total tackles -- including three in the National Championship Game against Alabama.

As part of Clemson's two-deep rotation throughout his career, Bryant posted 17 of his 21 career sacks and 30 TFL in his final two seasons.

After drafting T.J. Hockenson 8th overall Thursday night, the Lions have focused on improving their defense with each of their last three picks. Detroit drafted Hawaii linebacker Jahlani Tavai and Boston College DB Will Harris in the second and third rounds, respectively.
