For both Miguel Cabrera and Karan Higdon, 2019 is a big year. The Tigers slugger is trying to rebound from biceps surgery after missing most of the 2018 season. And the former Michigan running back is hoping to hear his name called in the NFL Draft.

Naturally, they're both training hard this winter. And those offseason gains led them to the same gym.

Higdon posted a picture with Cabrera on Instragram on Thursday morning.

"It's a blessing when you get the opportunity to meet a Walking Legend and see in person the intensity & level of work ethic it takes to remain at the top!" Higdon wrote.

The 6'4, 240-pound Cabrera dwarfed the 5'10, 200-pound Higdon.

Higdon is from southern Florida, which is where Cabrera spends most of his time in the offseason.

It looks like their crossing on Thursday was more casual than planned. Cabrera posted a photo as well from the workout, but with his personal crew.

Either way, coming across an 11-time All-Star and future Hall-of-Famer in Cabrera had to be great motivation for Higdon. He's projected to be picked in the middle rounds of the draft.

As for Cabrera, who ruptured his left biceps tendon last June and underwent surgery a few days later, he's expected to be ready by the start of the season.
