We're not sure where this version of Sully came from, but he flipped the script Thursday and straight-out lost his mind.
The situation started when Mike Valenti said LeBron James is taking something bad and making it worse. LeBron passed Michael Jordan on the all-time scoring list as his team the Lakers continue to redefine what the bottom is, Valenti says. He should have taken off this year and gone backpacking through Europe.
Valenti argued the basketball superstar has reached clown status.
Sully, a known LeBron slappy, shockingly agreed, saying, "This whole thing couldn't have gone any worse. He looks like an idiot. It's a complete clown show, it's a train wreck... He's just not even interested in being out there."
It's ridiculous that fellow players have to call him out to get him to play defense, Sully said, adding that everything's about him and it's a bad look overall. "It's to a point where he is seriously hurting his legacy."
Then Sully was off to the races ... He recounted LeBron's recent quotes and championships and other players, and this and than. He kept going, his voice getting louder and more agitated.
"You can't say that championships don't matter. You just can't do it. LeBron's out there running his mouth like ... none of this matters -- 'I'm LeBron James.' You've got to just cut it out.
"If he keeps this up, he's going to ruin his entire legacy. So just get your crap together and knock off the BS. Be a leader. You go to this team to lead ... And you do nothing but just cause a distraction? ... Get your ass on the court and play. It's gotten ridiculous, man."
He ended up saying LeBron looked like "a cancer, like a coach killer."
Sully got so worked up that Valenti asked Roberto to rub his shoulders and get him a coffee. "This isn't some hot take, he's literally going to lose his legacy if this BS continues," Sully said.
