Jamie Samuelsen Tributes Pour In From The Teams In Detroit: 'Dedicated To His Craft'

Jamie Samuelsen passed away Saturday at the age of 48, leaving a hole in our city. He talked sports on the radio here for 25 years. He did so with insight, with clarity and with respect. That's how he earned the respect of those around him. 

The tributes from our local teams began pouring in last week after Jamie announced his condition, and they haven't stopped since. We've compiled them below.

Their statement continued, "He was a true gentleman and his professionalism and passion for the Pistons and Detroit sports was evident whether covering a game live at the arena, broadcasting over radio and television, or writing for print. We send our deepest condolences to his wife, Christy, their three children and his extended family and friends during this most difficult time."
