The Big Ten announced its postseason awards Monday, and a combined seven players earned honors from Michigan State and Michigan.

Michigan State's Xavier Tillman and Michigan's Zavier Simpson were named to the second team by both panels. Tillman was also named Defensive Player of the Year by the coaches.
The Spartans and Wolverines each had a player named to the All-Freshman team, as chosen by the coaches, in Rocket Watts and Franz Wagner.
Isaiah Livers was named All-Big Ten honorable mention by the coaches, while Austin Davis received sportsmanship honors.
Michigan, losers of three of its last four, kicks off play in the Big Ten Tournament Thursday against Rutgers.
Michigan State, winners of four straight, begins play Friday against the winner of Ohio State-Purdue.
The Big Ten Player of the Year, as chosen by both panels, was Iowa's Luka Garza. Freshman of the Year was Kofi Cockburn, while Wisconsin's Greg Bard was Coach of the Year.
