WATCH: Massive Brawl Breaks Out At End Of Kansas-Kansas State Game

97.1 The Ticket -- Rivalry games can be intense. We all know that.

But things got really, really ugly Tuesday night at Phog Allen Fieldhouse as the Kansas-Kansas State game drew to a close.

With the game firmly in-hand, Kansas was dribbling out the clock when K-State guard DaJuan Gordon stole the ball from Silvio De Sousa just past midcourt. As Gordon went to put in a layup at the final buzzer, De Sousa emphatically swatted his shot away and clearly had some words for Gordon, who wound up on the ground.

Then all hell broke loose.

Benches cleared, punches were thrown, and De Sousa was even seen raising a stool over his head, though he did not hit anyone with it. The madness unfolded among fans who were seated on the floor.

The Big 12 and NCAA will have a lot of investigating to do, but there will surely be plenty of fallout from this incident, with several suspensions probably on the way.

No. 3 Kansas won the game 81-60 to improve to 5-1 in conference play.
