Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski made it abundantly clear Tuesday night -- there's a line you can't cross when you're a member of the Cameron Crazies.
Duke played host Tuesday to Pittsburgh, whose head coach is former Duke player and assistant coach Jeff Capel.
Capel played under Coach K from 1993-97 and served as an assistant for the Blue Devils from 2011-2018, when he took the Pitt job.
The No. 9 Blue Devils had gone on an 18-8 run late in the first half when the Duke student section began chanting "Jeff Capel, sit with us!"
The Crazies apparently crossed K's line and he went ballistic. Krzyzewski was seen shouting across the court for the students to "SHUT UP!" At the end of the half, the Hall-of-Fame coach stormed over and scolded the student section, saying "he's one of us!" and pointing to his chest.

The Blue Devils went on to win 79-67, improving to 17-3 on the season. They sit tied for second place in the ACC at 7-2 after No. 5 Florida State was upset at Virginia Tuesday night. Louisville sits atop the conference standings at 8-1.
Krzyzewski told reporters he thought students were chanting something personal towards Capel, but when he was told by reporters what the students were saying, he simply said, "wow," and said he would apologize for his meltdown.
K said he thought he heard something personal. "Wow" he said when the media told them what they were saying. He said he'd apologize for that, but he just heard his name and got mad. "I made a mistake, but I'd rather make a mistake for the protection of my guy"
