Slay has two interceptions, 10 pass deflections and 38 tackles on the season. Slay missed two games with injuries this season.

He is the first Lion to be selected to three straight Pro Bowls since wide receiver Calvin Johnson (2010-2015) and defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh (2012-2014). He's the first Lions defensive back to make three straight since the merger in 1970. Lem Barney was the last Detroit CB to achieve that feat, from 1967 to 69.

The league rolled out its NFC and AFC Pro Bowl rosters Tuesday night, with the Ravens sending a league-record 12 players to the game, including quarterback Lamar Jackson.

In the NFC North, the Bears and Vikings each had three players selected, while the Packers had two.

The Pro Bowl will take place at Camping World Stadium in Orlando on Jan. 26 at 3 p.m.

Slay's selection to the roster comes on the same day the Lions announced general manager Bob Quinn and head coach Matt Patricia will return for the 2020 season, despite a 3-10-1 record thus far.
