Seven-time All-Star Joe Johnson wants another shot in the NBA, and he may get it with the Pistons.
Johnson, who last played in the NBA in 2017-18, will workout for the Pistons "to try to get back into the league," according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin. He'll also workout for the Bucks and Nets.
Story filed to ESPN to go up shortly: Joe Johnson, fresh off an MVP and championship trophy in the BIG3, will travel to Detroit, Milwaukee and Brooklyn for workouts next week to try to get back into the league, sources told ESPN.

September 2, 2019 The news comes after Johnson, 38, was named MVP of the Big3 league, which consists mostly of former NBA players. Johnson hit the winning shot in Sunday's championship game.

September 1, 2019 Johnson's prime came about 10 years ago when he played for the Hawks. In his most recent NBA season, he averaged 6.8 points and 3.1 rebounds over 55 games with the Jazz and the Rockets. He's a career 37 percent three-point shooter, though he shot just 28 percent in 2017-18.
The Pistons currently have 20 players under contract -- the league max -- so they'd have to cut someone loose in order to add Johnson.
Training camp begins Oct. 1.
