The NFL schedule will be released Thursday night, but the leaks might take care of that first.
We've already learned the Lions are hosting the Bears in Week 1. It will be Detroit's first season opener against Chicago since 2010, its first home opener against Chicago since 1982.
We also know they'll be visiting the Packers in Week 2, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The Lions have some revenge to exact on Green Bay after dropping both games in 2019, including a controversial loss at Lambeau Field in Week 6.
With Detroit's first two games coming against NFC North opponents, it's safe to say the report about AFC-NFC matchups through Week 4 was false.
Instead, the Lions will play one of their four AFC opponents on Thanksgiving when the Texans come to town, according to NBC Sports Houston. Houston also came to Detroit for Thanksgiving in 2010, a game marked by Jim Schwart's illegal challenge that helped the Texans to 34-31 OT win.
The Lions will complete their season series with the Bears with a trip to Soldier Field in Week 13, according to Dov Kleiman.
