The Lions and Pistons are walking the walk.
Players and coaches from both teams will reportedly participate in marches in Detroit Thursday and Friday to protest racial inequality and police brutality.
The Pistons, led by head coach Dwane Casey, will start at the police headquarters on 3rd Ave. Thursday at 4 p.m., according to the Free Press. Players expected to intend include Luke Kennard, Bruce Brown and 2019 first-round draft pick Sekou Doumbouya.

The Lions will participate Friday in the Belle Isle Freedom March organized by former Detroit running back Joique Bell, according to MLive.
Both organizations have issued statements condemning racial injustice in the wake of the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

In an interview Monday with the Jamie and Stoney Show, Casey said he wouldn't be a man if he didn't step up.
"I know I'm going to be criticized. 'Don't be a politician, just coach the baseball team.' But I wouldn't be a man, a black man, if I didn't step up and have a small platform, just a small one, to say something to hopefully touch somebody's heart if they're actively listening," he said.
