Label this one a shocker.

The Lions on Tuesday traded safety Quandre Diggs and a 2021 seventh-round pick to the Seahawks for a 2020 fifth-round pick, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero

Diggs emerged as a playmaker and a leader on Detroit's defense in 2017, and Bob Quinn and the Lions rewarded him with a three-year, $18.6 million extension prior to the start of last season. He took another step forward in 2018, his first year in Matt Patricia's defense.

Now he's gone.

The move has already sent shockwaves through Detroit's locker room:

Thanks to a three-game losing streak, the 2-3-1 Lions sit in last place in the NFC North. Their journey from here will only get tougher.
