97.1 The Ticket -- The Lions have reportedly come to terms with free agent cornerback Desmond Trufant.
Trufant, who has spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Atlanta Falcons, will reportedly sign with Detroit on a two-year, $21 million deal, with $14 million guaranteed, according to a report from ESPN's Jordan Schultz.

The reported move raises an obvious question -- does this mean the Lions will trade veteran CB Darius Slay?

Slay and the Lions spent much of last season at odds and general manager Bob Quinn has been expected to make a move for the three-time Pro Bowler. Trufant could be the replacement for Slay, as reports indicate the Lions' 2013 second-round draft pick is likely done playing in Honolulu Blue.

Slay has one year left on the contract extension he signed in 2016.

He hasn't been shy about wanting a trade, and took to Twitter Wednesday night to beg for a move out of Detroit.

Congrats to my guy!!!! Hope that speeds up my trade process!! https://t.co/ZQHO3NCGuE

Trufant comes to Detroit off a 2019 season that saw him miss seven total games games with turf toe early in the year and a broken forearm that ended his season in Week 11.

Despite missing so much time last season, Trufant snagged four interceptions for the Falcons, a career high.

Trufant will be part of a new look secondary for the Lions, who added safety Duron Harmon in a trade with the Patriots earlier Wednesday.
