Michigan Basketball Loses Five-Star Joshua Christopher To Arizona State

Joshua Christopher

Michigan basketball still has one of the top recruiting classes in the country.

But it took a hit Monday night when five-star shooting guard Joshua Christopher, widely presumed to be heading to Ann Arbor, announced his commitment to Arizona State.

Christopher, the No. 10 ranked player in the country according to 247 Sports, would have been the top commit in Michigan's class.

The Wolverines still have five-star PF Isaiah Todd, a trio of four-stars in C Hunter Dickinson, SG Zeb Jackson and PF Terrence Williams, and three-star SF Jace Howard, the son of head coach Juwan Howard. They're also bringing in star graduate transfer Mike Smith from Columbia.

Five-star PF Greg Brown, the No. 9 ranked player in the country, is considering Michigan as well -- although Texas is considered his most likely landing spot.

In addition to Michigan, Christopher was considering the likes of UCLA, Missouri and Arizona.
