The sports world might be on pause, but recruiting rolls on in college football.
Michigan football landed a big commitment Thursday from 2021 four-star tight end Louis Hansen, who made his announcement via Twitter.
Hansen, ranked No. 8 among tight ends in his class by 247 Sports, was a coveted recruit. He chose Michigan over the likes of Ohio State, Penn State, Georgia and national champs LSU.
"I feel like I have great connections to (tight ends) coach (Sherrone) Moore, Coach (Don) Brown and Coach Harbaugh," he said in a video posted to Twitter. "Obviously the facilities are great, the team's been performing. I think they're really building something special up there."
Hansen said he's also looking forward to being a part of Josh Gattis' offense.
"They like to use the tight end as a player who can get the ball in open space and have the opportunity to make plays, and that's exactly the situation I want to be in," he said.
