Michigan Safety J'Marick Woods Enters Transfer Portal

It's not just Michigan State losing players to the transfer portal. 

Michigan safety J'Marick Woods entered the portal on Monday, he announced on Twitter. The junior appeared in four games this season, but hasn't played since Michigan's win over Iowa Oct. 5. 


Over 27 games in three seasons, Woods tallied 26 tackles on defense and special teams. He was known as a strong hitter. 

"I will graduate this December as a Graduate Transfer," Woods wrote on Twitter. "I will also have 2 years of eligibility left to play. Thank you Michigan, for everything."

Woods arrived as a three-star recruit from Alabama in 2016, choosing Michigan over the likes of Penn State, Florida and Tennessee. 

He's Michigan's second player to enter the transfer portal this season, joining tight end Mustapha Muhammad, who announced his decision last week
