Though it didn't end the way anyone hoped, the 2019-20 season was another special one for Tom Izzo and Michigan State.
In fact,
Izzo called it one of the "more rewarding seasons I’ve ever had here."
The Spartans overcame a number of blows, including the tragic loss of Cassius Winston's brother, to win their third consecutive Big Ten championship. We'll never know what else lay in store.
"It saddens me for our players, our fans," Izzo said. "It saddens me for our seniors who don’t get another chance at this."
