June 1, 2020 Rose, 45, came to the Pistons in 2018 after being named G League Executive of the Year as GM of the Erie BayHawks. He seemed like Stefanki's potential successor, given his resume and strong reputation around the NBA.
Either the Pistons didn't feel that strongly about Rose, or Rose didn't feel that strongly about the Pistons.
The team's top remaining executives beneath Stefasnki -- and possible in-house candidates for the GM job -- are associate GM Pat Garrity and director of player personnel Greg Polinsky.
