There was hope among Pistons fans that Andre Drummond would be the first domino to fall. That after shipping Drummond to the Cavs about 45 minutes before Thursday's trade deadline, the team would follow up by dealing Derrick Rose or Langston Galloway or Markieff Morris or even Luke Kennard.

Instead, Detroit stood pat, seemingly letting an opportunity pass by

The Pistons' only other move came shortly after the deadline when they waived Tim Frazier, according to Adrian Wojnarowski. The move was necessary in order to make room on the roster for Brandon Knight and John Henson, whose expiring contracts were part of the Drummond deal.

Frazier, signed as a free agent last summer, averaged 3.6 points and 3.4 assists over 27 games.

The Pistons also could have cleared a roster spot by buying out Reggie Jackson, but they aren't yet ready to do that, according to Vincent Goodwill.

Jackson's $18 million salary comes off the books after this season.

Detroit's lack of activity at the deadline is believed to be due to their high asking prices, namely demanding a lottery pick for Rose.
