97.1 The Ticket -- The Lions are signing former Patriots linebacker Jamie Collins, according to multiple reports.
Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports Detroit has agreed to a three-year, $30 million deal with Collins. $18 million is fully guarantted, according to Rapoport.

For the #Lions and LB Jamie Collins, it’s a 3-year worth $30M, source said. The deal includes $18M fully guaranteed. A nice payday and a reunion with coach Matt Patricia.

The New England connection continues, as Lions coach Matt Patricia and GM Bob Quinn are bringing in another former Patriot. Collins spent the first three and a half seasons of his career in New England under Patricia, who was the team's defensive coordinator at the time.

After a brief stint with Cleveland that saw Collins rack up 104 total tackles and four sacks in 2018 with the Browns, he returned to the Patriots last season and had somewhat of a career rejuvenation.

The 30-year-old Collins had seven sacks, 10 QB hits and three interceptions -- including one pick-six -- in 2019.

The move comes the same day the Lions agreed to sign former Eagles offensive tackle Halapoulivaati Vaitai, who is set to replace Rick Wagner.
