We could have an answer from Tom Brady as soon as tomorrow.
Where will the Hall-of-Fame quarterback play next?
According to Colin Cowherd, Brady's already made up his mind. He plans to sign with the Buccaneers.
Cowherd said he had a source fill him in Tuesday morning.
"This is very interesting," he said. "This is not a football source, it's an icon source. It's somebody in Tom's stratosphere that knows Tom, that is a famous person. And he says Tampa. That's what he's telling me."
For Brady, the appeal of the Bucs would be the team's offensive weapons in Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, its veteran coach in Bruce Arians and the easy travel between Tampa Bay and Brady's home in New York.
It should be noted that while the Bucs are interested in Brady and spoke with him Monday, Adam Schefter reported the two sides hadn't been in contact Tuesday. No deal is presently in place.
"We're waiting to see what Tom decides just like everybody else," said GM Jason Licht.
Bucs' GM Jason Licht acknowledged there is interest in free-agent QB Tom Brady, the two sides spoke Monday, but there has been no conversation today and there is no deal in place. "We're waiting to see what Tom decides just like everybody else," Licht said.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 17, 2020The Buccaneers are one of two teams, along with the Chargers, to reportedly make Brady an offer worth at least $30 million.
