Two College Hockey Players Rollerblading From Boston To Michigan

It's nearly 900 miles from Boston to Michigan, and two hockey players from UMass-Boston are rollerblading the whole way.

Teammates Andrew Walker and Jacob Adkins came up with the idea to raise money for the American Cancer Society. They left their dorm early Monday morning and hope to be in Walker's hometown of Mason in about 10 days.

Their plan is to travel about 100 miles per day. And their goal is to raise $100,000. Support their fundraiser here; they've raised about $10,000 as of Monday afternoon.

"Can't beat cancer alone," said Walker. "Let's beat it together."
