Every day we get a little closer to the 2020 NFL Draft.

The format is going virtual this year, but it won't change the fact your Detroit Lions hold the third overall pick. How will they proceed?

NFL.com's Maurice Jones-Drew is here with the latest prediction.

In his mock draft 2.0, Jones-Drew turns things upside down from the start, with the Bengals choosing Oregon QB Justin Herbert over LSU's Joe Burrow. Then the Chargers trade up to No. 2 to take Tua Tagovailoa.

Now the Lions are on the clock, with Burrow on the board. Do they go with the consensus No. 1 pick? Do they take the best defensive player in Ohio State's Chase Young? Neither, says Jones-Drew.

Detroit trades down with the Giants at No. 4, allowing New York to draft Young. One pick later, the Lions take Auburn DT Derrick Brown:

"He's super disruptive, thanks to his strength, quick hands and explosiveness off the line. The Lions' interior immediately improves."

That leaves the Dolphins to take Burrow No. 5 -- a dream scenario for Miami. The Redskins draft Clemson LB Isaiah Simmons sixth, and the Jags trade up from No. 9 to No. 7 to take rumored Lions target Jeffrey Okudah.

Jones-Drew doesn't specify the terms of the trade between Detroit and New York, but the Giants' second-round pick (No. 36 overall) would surely be in play. Their next-highest pick is No. 99.
