Karsch and Anderson polled their audience about whether the Tigers will get better next year.

On air now: Detroit Tiger fan, what difference do you expect Mize, Skubal and Parades make THIS year? Long term these guys are expected to be the core. But remember this is just about what difference they make this year.

Most fans have no expectations or that they'll get a little better.

"Because this is a joke of a season anyway," quipped Scott "The Gator" Anderson.

Doug said Gator, out of all of the people he knows, is the one who says that the most. That the season is a joke.

"It sounds like you think they shouldn't even be playing," said Doug.

"I want to see baseball, but I'm not going to get caught up in it like it means something," said Gator.

Pointing to the potential for a better season and poor handling by the league and owners Gator said, "I'm pissed off at the whole process."

"I don't know if that impacts people's expectations of Skubal and Mize," argued Doug.

Removing the bitterness at the handling, Gator can find some enjoyment in the season although it's meaningless to him. "No expectations. This is fun let's go," added Gator.
