The NBA trade deadline is behind us, but the playoff-hopeful Pistons might not be done making moves.

Detroit plans to make an aggressive run at shooting guard Wayne Ellington, if and when he's released by the Suns, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

Detroit will be among the most aggressive teams in trying to sign guard Wayne Ellington in the buyout market, league sources tell ESPN.

Ellington was traded on Wednesday from Miami to Phoenix, and his agent is reportedly already working on a buy-out with the Suns.

Agent Mark Bartelstein is working with the Suns to waive guard Wayne Ellington and allow him to join a playoff contender, league sources tell ESPN. Ellington is arriving with Tyler Johnson from Miami in the trade for Ryan Anderson.

A 10-year vet, Ellington averaged 8.4 points in 25 games this season for the Heat. He's a career 38 percent shooter from three.

At 24-29, the Pistons are 1.5 games out of the playoffs. Owner Tom Gores made it clear recently that making the postseason remains the team's most immediate goal.
