97.1 The Ticket -- After drafting the youngest player in the draft -- Sekou Doumbouya out of France -- with the 15th overall pick, the Pistons opted to obtain more draft capital for building the future, as they traded the 30th overall pick to the Cleveland Cavaliers for four future second-round picks, before parlaying their new assets into more international flavor.

The Pistons traded two future second-rounders and the 45th overall pick in this year's draft to the Dallas Mavericks for the 37th pick Thursday night, which they used to select Deividas Sirvydis out of Lithuania.

Detroit had acquired the 30th pick, along with guard Tony Snell, from Milwaukee on Wednesday night in exchange for Jon Leuer.
The 19-year-old, 6-foot-8 Sirvydis is reportedly a lanky forward with a strong 3-point shot and decent driving ability. Sirvydis averaged 5.4 points and 1.9 rebounds last year for BC Rytas could be a prime "draft-and-stash" candidate for the Pistons, meaning he's a long-term project for the future. He scored 18 points in the title game of the 2018 U-18 Adidas Next Generation Tournament.

Sirvydis apparently has strong genes when it comes to 3-point shooting. His father, Virginijus, played professionally in the EuroLeague.

"My dad was a very good shooter. Shooting is my strong side," the younger Sirvydis said in a press release.

The Pistons drafted Sekou Doumbouya out of France with the 15th overall pick. Doumbouya is a 6-foot-9 forward who says he "does it all" on both ends of the floor.

While many analysts say Doumbouya has great potential, it is raw. He appears to be a development project who could factor into the future of the franchise, moreso than make an immediate impact.

The Pistons appear to be shifting from win-now mode to rebuilding,"as both Doumbouya and Sirvydis are long-term plays.
