Michigan PG David DeJulius To Enter Transfer Portal

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan men's basketball coach Juwan Howard announced Monday that sophomore David DeJulius has intentions of entering the transfer portal.

DeJulius, a 6-0 guard from Detroit, Michigan, averaged 7.0 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 31 games this season. He posted 11 double-figure scoring games, including a career-best 20 in the season finale at Maryland.

With co-captain Zavier Simpson graduating, DeJulius was set to be the team's starting point guard next season. Michigan has one of the top-ranked recruiting classes in the country, but a point guard isn't among those arriving in the fall.

DeJulius, who saw limited action in 25 games as a freshman under John Beilein, was a four-star recruit out of East English Village in 2018.
