Miguel Cabrera is still one of the top hitters in all of baseball. Well, at least in my opinion.
But he's been hit by the injury bug the past two seasons and hasn't produced to the level Tigers fans expect.
Last year, Cabrera hit .286 with an OPS of .744 over 136 games -- numbers that left him 'embarrassed.' So he made changes to his diet and his workout routine in the offseason, and then looked like his old self in spring training.
"He's moving well, he looks great, you can tell he feels great. He's eating great. And he's got bat speed he didn't have last year," Tigers manager Ron Gardenhire said in March. "He's using his back leg a lot better. He's just stronger. If you can lose that much weight and still stay strong, that's impressive."
Cabrera Has Chance To Turn Back Time In 2020
Baseball has since gone on pause, but Cabrera has stayed on his grind. The 'Quarantine 15?' Not for Miggy, who looks leaner and stronger than he's been in years:

Padres first baseman Eric Hosmer called Cabrera the GOAT in the comment section of the post below.
And the GOAT looks like he's ready to play, whenever baseball decides to come back.
