Lions' running back Kerryon Johnson could return to action next week against the Denver Broncos in Week 16. Detroit is out of playoff contention, but Gator thinks he should play so the team can see what they have in the 22-year-old.
Johnson's career hasn't exactly gotten off to the greatest start despite his early performance last season. The former second-round pick had three touchdowns in seven starts last year before going down with a sprained left knee. In 2019, he injured his right knee during the Week 7 contest against the Minnesota Vikings.
"I was excited as anybody else last year when he was playing. He was great last year, then he got hurt. [He] came back healthy this year, [and he is] not so great---3.3 yards- per-carry, 50 yards-per-game---and [has] only played in six games."
