It seems that every week there is a new video of a father/mother having a verbal disagreement with a youth ref.
Today's story involves Detroit Lions running back, according to TMZ.com.
It took place back in March when Anderson was coaching a 14 and under team in Cypress, Texas. Anderson allegedly got in the face of a 38-year-old ref and there was reportedly chest bumping and "mutual contact."
TMZ.com says, "We're told the ref refused to continue officiating the tournament until Anderson left ... but after Anderson complied with that demand, the ref still went to cops. We're told the ref was seeking an assault charge against the 5'8", 225-pound NFL player ... which kicked off a police investigation that lasted 3 months."
There weren't any charges filed. According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office spokesperson, "The Harris County District Attorney's Office declined charges stating there was insufficient evidence supporting a charge."
Anderson defended himself when he was aproached by TMZ. "There were no charges because I never touched the man," he said. "It was a typical coach-and-ref interaction," Anderson said. "I was just looking out for my players."
Anderson's agent, Peter Schaffer said that Anderson was helping the kids for free and it won't deter him from giving back in the future as well.
