McKissic, entering his fourth year in the NFL, McKissic hasn't seen too much extended playing time, but in 2017 he carried the ball 46 times for 187 yards and a touchdown. He also hauled in two touchdown catches and racked up 266 receiving yards out of the backfield. He did, however, see a lot of time on special teams.
McKissic played under new Lions offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell in Seattle.
The Lions announced their initial 53-man roster on Saturday, releasing the likes of quarterback Tom Savage, wide receiver Brandon Powell, tackle Andrew Donnall and others. The waiver wire officially opened Sunday afternoon, so more moves are expected to be made throughout the day before teams can sign free agents, meaning more cuts are likely to happen in the coming days.
