The Detroit Pistons open their 2019-20 season Wednesday evening against the Indiana Pacers -- but will be doing it without Joe Johnson.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Pistons have waived Johnson in favor of Christian Wood and Khyri Thomas.

October 21, 2019 Johnson was a seven-time NBA All-Star and was coming from the Big 3 after he dominated on his way to a championship. Johnson was the first Big 3 player to land a NBA deal.
In his last NBA season, Johnson averaged 6.8 points and 3.1 rebounds over 55 games with the Jazz and the Rockets.
