Not many fans knew a ton about Maker, other than he has a pretty impressive perimeter game for a 7-foot-1 center.
Monday night fans learned a little more about him: he's tough and he plays hard.
Late in the first quarter of Monday's game against the Wizards, Maker made a monster block Bobby Portis at the rim. After being knocked to the ground, he popped back up and altered another shot, creating a fastbreak opportunity for Ish Smith.
