The Tigers acquired left-hander Joey Wentz and power-hitting outfielder Travis Demeritte from the Braves in exchange for Shane Greene, according to The Athletic.

July 31, 2019 Wentz, 21, is Atlanta's No. 7 prospect, according to MLB Pipeline. He has a 4.72 ERA, a 1.31 WHIP and about a strikeout per inning over 20 starts in Double-A this season.
Demeritte, a first-round pick of the Rangers in 2013, has 20 homers and a .944 OPS in 96 games in Triple-A. He's 24 years old.
It's likely the Tigers will give Demeritte a look this season.
All things considered, it's a fair return for Greene. Teams are loath to part with top prospects for relievers, and Greene has a spotty track record at best prior to this season.
