Tigers Invite 20 Players To Major League Camp

DETROIT – The Detroit Tigers today announced the following 20 players have been invited to Major League camp this spring in Lakeland, FL.

Righthanded pitchers: José Cisnero, Louis Coleman, Kyle Funkhouser, Zac Houston, Casey Mize, Eduardo Paredes, Chris Smith, Paul Voelker


Catchers: Brady Policelli, Jake Rogers, Hector Sanchez, Kade Scivicque, Bobby Wilson

Infielders: Gordon Beckham, Harold Castro, Kody Eaves, Pete Kozma

Outfielders: Daz Cameron, Jacob Robson, Danny Woodrow

Additionally, the following staff members will be in uniform at Major League camp this spring: Jeff Branson, Basilio Cabrera, Bill Dancy, Joe DePastino, Scott Fletcher, Jaime Garcia, Santiago Garrido, Brian Harper, Mike Hessman, Mark Johnson, Doug Mientkiewicz, Juan Nieves, Dave Owen, Brian Peterson, Mike Rabelo, Gene Roof, A.J. Sager and José Valentín. Also, Willie Horton, Al Kaline and Alan Trammell will be in uniform this spring. Corey Tremble, Chris McDonald and T.J. Obergefell will assist the Major League training staff this spring, while Steve Chase, Jeff Mathers and Matt Rosenhamer will work with the Tigers strength and conditioning coordinators Chris Walter and Yousef Zamat.

The first pitchers and catchers workout in Lakeland will be on Wednesday, February 13, while the first full squad workout will be on Monday, February 18.
