It's been a long time since the state of Michigan produced a running back prospect like West Bloomfield's Donovan Edwards.

You'd probably have to go back to Kevin Grady, who came out of East Grand Rapids in 2005.

Edwards is a top-50 recruit and the second-ranked running back in the class of 2021, according to 247 Sports. And he's drawing all kinds of attention from the top programs in the country.

On top of just about every team in the Big 10, Edwards has offers from the likes of Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Oklahoma, Notre Dame and Florida. He's kind of a big deal.

Such a big deal, in fact, that West Bloomfield was the site of a who's-who of college football coaches on Friday. Check out who stopped by, via West Bloomfield head coach Ron Bellamy.

Michigan is the favorite to land Edwards at the moment, with pressure from Ohio State and Michigan State, according to 247 Sports. He'll be a coup for whichever school he chooses.

Edwards' decision will come in about a year.
