It's not what it used to be, but college football's national signing day arrives on Wednesday with some big decisions hanging in the balance for the class of 2019.

A few five-star recruits will announce their respective schools, plus several four-stars. The biggest name among them is offensive tackle Darnell Wright from West Virginia, the No. 10-ranked player in country, per 247 Sports.

As it pertains to Michigan and Michigan State, though, Wednesday should be pretty quiet. Both schools locked up the bulk of their commits in the early signing period in December, which was introduced in the 2018 recruiting cycle.

The biggest news for Michigan actually came on Monday, when three-star athlete Amauri Pesek-Hickson -- one of two players the Wolverines expected to sign on Wednesday -- decommitted after receiving mixed signals from Jim Harbaugh over the past couple months

That leaves four-star safety Quinten Johnson as Michigan's lone commit prepared to sign on Wednesday. The Washington, D.C. native ranks 27th at his position and 316th overall in his class, per 247 Sports. His addition will officially bring Michigan's 2019 class, which ranks sixth in the nation, to 26 players.

As for Mark Dantonio and Michigan State, Wednesday could actually present some news beyond the expected addition of three-star wide receiver Tre'Von Morgan, the last unsigned player among MSU's 19 commits.

The Spartans are believed to be in the mix for a couple more skill players after losing three-star running back Aaron Young in December and four-star wide receiver Alante Brown last weekend. Three-star tight end Brett Seither, who also has offers from the likes of Alabama and Georgia, is said to be a name to keep an eye on.

Including Morgan, who ranks 56th in his class among wide receivers, the Spartans' 2019 class ranks 28th in the nation, according to 247 Sports.

Check back Wednesday for updates.
