In a 2020 study from Planet Fitness it was revealed that most singles prefer a more flabby stomach to a six-pack. Now in 2021 the latest survey from Dating.com shares a similar conclusion. 75% of the 2,000 people surveyed expressed that they are a fan of the "dad bod," meaning they like a figure that isn't super chiseled.

This could be considered good news for many Americans as 42% of U.S. adults say that they gained at least 29 pounds over the course of the pandemic.

A mere 15% of those surveyed said they preferred a Barbie, or Ken type of in-shape body when searching for potential matches. 45% of them shared that they like to put #dadbod it in their bios because they are proud of their physiques. The conclusion the survey came to is that body type isn't key when looking for a potential match, confidence in yourself instead is what matters most.
