As the temperature continues to rise and summer right around the corner, more and more alligator sightings are starting to pop up around the country. Of course, the majority of these come from Florida, where alligator encounters are a somewhat normal occurrence in certain parts of the state. The latest example comes from Sarasota, Florida where a couple was surprised by a massive alligator waiting for them on their front doorstep.
As seen in the video that has since gone viral, the large alligator sits in front of the couple's front door, as someone records. The couple, Mark and Jackie Brettingen, are hear din the video, with Mark telling Jackie to be careful, and Jackie responding with "I have a gun." According to Fox 13 News, the incident occurred last week, around 9:45 P.M.
Luckily for the couple, the alligator eventually walked away from their front door, going back down the path it likely came from. Many online were stunned by the size of the alligator. Hopefully the couple doesn't have to deal with any more alligators on their front doorstep.
